Utility Statements
City utility bills are for water, sewer, garbage, mosquito control and other misc. services. Statements/bills are mailed around the first of each month, reflecting the previous month’s services and are due by 4:30 p.m. on the 20th of the month. Bills are considered delinquent if not paid on or before this date and assessed a late penalty of 10% of the current amount due. Payments may either be mailed or delivered to the city office or dropped in the utility deposit box located near the community center front door. For electronic & annual payment options, contact the city office. Utility accounts that are more than 60 days overdue at the time of billing can be subject to having their services turned off.
Water Service
Current residential and most business water rate fees are billed a flat rate minimum. The city must be notified of connection/disconnection services. If the property owner does not notify the city when a service is to be discontinued, the owner is still liable for charges on their account. Anyone hooking up to the water system for the first time will be charged a Water Connection Hookup Fee of $250.00
Sewer Service
Residential and business sewer service rates are billed a flat monthly rate. Anyone hooking up to the sewer system for the first time will be charged a Sewer Connection Hookup Fee of $400.00.
Garbage (Solid Waste) Service
All residents living in Greenbush will be charged for this service, per the Solid Waste Ordinance. Residential garbage is picked up on Mondays & Thursdays from May 1st through October 31st, and Mondays only from November 1st through April 30th of each year. Business garbage is picked up Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, with some exceptions and/or on an as-needed basis. Garbage must be ready for pick-up by 7:00 a.m. Place the garbage at the curbside in a covered container. Please note that there is no garbage pickup on holidays and then there is only one pick-up that week.
Landfill Assessment Fee
This is the fee that every citizen pays for their garbage being deposited in a landfill.
Mosquito Control Fee
Every residence is charged a Mosquito Control Fee on each billing. This fee covers the city's cost of mosquito control in the summer.
